Never go back……..accept

That as always my mantra , never return to the same place twice and in fairness we are fairly good at it with everything n life however there are exceptions.

This isn’t the first time we have broke the rule, Oban in Scotland when we were ba young family had a second visit and we went back to Disney World when the kids were younger because in fairness there was too much to take in in just one visit. More recently Louie in the Algarve mountains has had a couple of visits.

But all that pails into insignificance compared with Almyrida just a 30 min drive from Chania. I genuinely think we found our paradise here. This will be our fourth visit , the third based at Villa Selene in the St Basil Olive grove.

This is our relaxing place , a place to escape to. It’s not the most fanciest villa but it’s home from home. The hosts have always been fantastic. The location sublime and the food rustic but so tasty.
